I passed review (I think). We haven't gotten our comments back yet, but I think I did okay. I was left feeling confused, tongue-tied, and unable to fully express what I'm doing...but that's grad school. I'm glad it's behind me.
As semester two looms near, I attempted to start something (anything) to get back to making, thinking, and reacting in my white box studio. It's always hard for me to jump back in after a break. I catch myself thinking too hard about what to make "in the studio"...I'm much better being elsewhere, contemplating things "not in the studio." Despite that, my hands are itching to get busy with making. I'm sticking with the tried and true Liz Miller exercise.....create 50 drawings. Go.
(Here are 12).
